I interviewed a few people regarding the following questions
Do you think we can learn something from dramas?
Have you ever learned something by watching Japanese dramas?
Can you describe a scene from a drama and tell me what you learned from it?

3.) Education and Knowledge is power Like what the first message mentioned, the society discriminates those with a lesser educational background. Thus, in order to climb up the social ladder and gain success and respect from others, one must study. Whether one has access to information can greatly affect one's life. From the example Sakuragi gives, people who has the knowledge of how the exam is marked have an advantage over those who don't. The world works in a similar fashion. People with more information have more control.

This is Takuto's speech to a group of middle school students during the last episode. I find the speech really inspirational, but since it is too long, I left out some parts and shortened it.
Enjoy.

1.) Expectations and Overly Controlling Parents are bad for a child.
Takuto's father is a doctor who owns his own hospital. Thus, as the eldest son, Takuto was expected to become a doctor and inherit his father's hospital when he grows up. When he fails to get good grades in high school and fails his parents' expectations, they immediatly turn their attention to Takuto's younger brother, Rikuto, transferring their expectations and love to Rikuto. After that, Takuto suffers from the lack of love from his parents and the belittling from Takuto. He cannot feel the love and support that characterize families. The problem developes to the point that when the doctor asks Takuto to bring in his family to listen to his health report, Takuto replies by stating that he doesn't have a family.

Dragon Zakura is a manga-based drama aired by TBS in Japan in 2005. The drama shows the senior year journey of 6 students from a lowly regarded high school. Kenji Sakuragi is a poor lawyer who starts to work at the high school known as "high school full of dummies." Wanting to regain fame to help his career, he makes a bet with the school principal that he can teach a class of students and successfully prepare them so that they will be admitted to the University of Tokyo, the best university in Japan.
After bribing and pet talking to individual students, Kenji is able to recruit 6 students. When his program starts, no one believes in it due to his extreme actions and odd methods of studying. For example, he taught them English grammar by teaching them English love songs.
